Beeswax Wrap – Product Review By Hoppingo

Beeswax Wrap Product Review

Have you heard the buzz about Bee’s Wrap? Touted as a sustainable, reusable alternative to plastic wrap, there is a whole lot to like. Here is the Beeswax Wrap Product Review.

Beeswax wraps are a natural, waste-free, plastic-free alternative to traditional disposable cling wrap products. The average family uses 24 rolls of plastic cling wrap per year. Unfortunately cling wrap is not reusable and is rarely recycled as it can clog machinery.

Beeswax wraps are made from organic cotton sheets that are infused with beeswax, dammar resin and other oils like coconut and jojoba. This creates a breathable, pliable and slightly tacky piece of material that replaces the need for plastic cling wrap.

Beeswax wraps are a waste-free way to store leftover food or transport food from your home to work, school, the park – anywhere. Just think of all the times you use a piece of cling wrap to store leftovers or wrap around a block of cheese. What happens to the plastic cling wrap? It ultimately becomes waste that won’t be going anywhere for a long time.

Check out the video below showing you different ways to use the wraps.

Frequently Asked Questions on the Beeswax Wraps Product:

  1. Are beeswax wraps hygienic?

The wax-infused cloths are reusable and mouldable, so even odd-shaped foods can be wrapped.  As the wraps are used to cover food, it is fair enough to assume they are hygienic. However, they cannot be washed vigorously or in hot water, so there is a risk they could become contaminated with pathogens

  1. How long does beeswax wrap last?

Bee’s Wrap lasts for up to a year with proper care and regular usage. You’ll know your wrap has reached the end of its useful life in the kitchen when it has worn thin and soft and has trouble sticking to itself.

  1. How do beeswax wraps work?

You use the warmth of your hands to help mould the Beeswax Wrap over a piece of food, bowl, dish, etc. The Beeswax Wrap will hold its seal once it starts to cool down. The Beeswax Wrap allows your food to breath.

  1. Why are my beeswax wraps not sticky?

The wax is no longer sticking. If this happens repeatedly, you may have too much wax and not enough oil on the fabric. You may need to experiment with heating up the wrap in the oven at 300 degrees F and then adding a little more oil and/or pine rosin.

The wraps are available in different sizes and designs on Lazada.
